Will Claye received a hero’s welcome in his Arizona hometown of Ahwatukee.

The now two-time Olympic silver medalist in the Triple Jump and three-time Olympic medalist overall was inducted into the Mountain Pointe High School Athletics Hall of Fame at halftime of his alma-mater’s football game on Thursday night.

Will is still just weeks removed from a tremendous experience in Rio at the 2016 Olympic Games, where, after taking silver in the Triple Jump for a second straight Olympics, he raced into the crowd to propose to his girlfriend Queen Harrison. The newly engaged Claye was overjoyed with the honor in Ahwatukee.

“This is just an emotional day,” Will said. “To be honored by the high school that groomed me to be who I am today.”
