Project Description

OCTAVIOUS FREEMAN

Octavious Freeman began a meteoric rise at the 2013 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships when she narrowly missed capturing the title of American’s fastest woman at just 20 years of age. Her second place finish in the 100-meter final secured Octavious a spot on Team USA for the 2013 IAAF World Championships, where she went on to make the finals. Octavious then anchored Team USA to a silver medal finish in the 4×100 at World. As a sophomore at the University of Central Florida in 2013, Octavious won two NCAA Outdoor silver medals and was named NCAA All-American in five disciplines (3 outdoor, 2 indoor).
