Will Claye and Tori Bowie each added national titles to their resumes on Day 2 at the USATF Championships in Sacramento.

Will flirted with the exclusive 18m club, posting a near-career-best 17.91—the ninth best triple jump performance of all time to secure his second USATF outdoor triple jump championship and his first since 2014. His winning jump came in the fifth round and was the fourth best jump in U.S history.

While Will continued his outstanding season on the jumping circuit, Tori continued her sprinting dominance, capturing the 100m title.

She completed the clean sweep, taking the top mark in the preliminaries, semifinals and in the final round. Tori ran a 10.94 in the finals to best runner-up Deajah Stevens and others in a stacked sprinting field.

The adidas sprinter will compete for another national title in the 200m later this weekend.

Elsewhere, Mike Rodgers punched his ticket to the men’s 100m finals, where he finished sixth behind race winner Justin Gatlin at 10.17 seconds.

Alexis Perry also advanced in the women’s 100m hurdles on Day 2 in Sacramento. She slotted 12th on the preliminary charts at 13.14 seconds.
